Atelier Élixir is a Houston-based independent fragrance brand founded by indie perfumer Michelle Lopez, creating original, one-of-a-kind fragrances for both men and women.

“For myself, fragrance is more than something you wear—it is an expression of identity, confidence, and power. My fragrances for women are inspired by strength, beauty, femininity, and the transformation of those qualities into power. The fragrances for men are created with a return to manhood in mind—bold, grounded scents that encourage men to embrace their strength, character, and who they are meant to be.

My love for fragrance began in childhood. Scent has always fascinated me—the way a single aroma could hold a memory, bring on an emotion, or transport you to another moment in time. But it wasn’t until four years ago that I truly immersed herself in the art of perfumery.

What began during a season of grief as a creative outlet and a much-needed distraction slowly became something far greater. Through experimenting, studying, blending, and creating, perfumery became a passion and eventually a dream I could no longer ignore.”

It took courage to turn what had once been a private hobby into Atelier Élixir—a fragrance house built around original creations, storytelling, and individuality. Today, Michelle creates distinctive perfumes designed to feel personal rather than mass-produced, with each fragrance carrying its own identity, inspiration, and story.
