Inspired by a hardworking balsam fir tree farmer living in a secluded cabin in northern Wisconsin. He has dedicated his life to growing, preserving, and supplying the trees that bring the holidays into people’s homes.
His mornings begin among rows of frost-covered firs, where the air smells of pine needles and cold sap. Wrapped in cashmere and wool, he moves through the winter wilderness, snow settling on his shoulders and resin clinging to his gloves.
At dusk, he returns to his cabin, hangs his wool by the stove, and rubs healing ointment into his weathered skin. Cedar smoke curls through the room as the warmth releases the traces of his day’s labor—the trees, the resin, the cold forest air.
